She giggled as he proclaimed that he brought the fierce to our photo session. She bashfully admitted that she takes horrible pictures and was nervous.

Mikaela and Trevor are that couple that you wish you were friends with. They’re so fun to be around, incredibly sweet, and definitley full of energy and life! I was smitten with them instantly and, to be honest, felt like I had been friends with them forever by the end of our session. I LOVE it when that happens. They are not only so in love and so sweet to each other but just very genuine people. The kind of people you’d be lucky to know. We headed to Old Folsom to take their engagement pictures and had an amazing time from the start! Mikaela swears she can’t take a good picture, but…AHEM….I beg to differ! Evidence below…hello eyes!!! And Trevor…well he kept the party going!  Jokes, conversation…modeling poses, he had it all haha! He even brought M&Ms to snack on so he could fuel up during the shoot!

We had such a blast and I warn you now that this post is kind of long…they had SO many ridiculously good pictures it was almost impossible to narrow them down! Mikaela and Trevor, congratulations on your engagement and thank you for being awesome. I CANNOT wait to be there on your special day with you, capturing your memories!! Enjoy!!!

This has got to be my favorite staged shoot to date. Eeeeep so excited to share just a few of these images with you all! Janae of Janae Smith Studio has done it again!! This time she teamed up with the fabulous and oh so talented girls of All Dolled Up Hair and Makeup Artistry (hi Colette, Lacy and Michelle!!) to create these gorgeous looks. I can’t even tell you how much fun it was to do this shoot. We spent an entire day playing with hair and make-up and lights….ah heaven!! Lots of giggles and rocking out to music with these fun models, who totally brough the fierce! Can we please do this everyday?!?! So much fun

I’ll shut my yap now and just let these photos speak for themselves. These girls are seriously talented. Hair and make-up was flawless, edgy and fun! If you need any hair or make-up services you MUST contact these talented ladies!! And bonus, their studios are in the same place…one stop shop, woo!

Moooooo-ve over Gerber baby! We have a new little in town and she’s gunning for your spot! Say hello to little Miss Gemma. She is sure to be making quite a few appearances on the blog from now on. I guess that’s the perk of having a photographer mommy heehee. I apologize in advance  Oh, how she is going to be so sick of me when she’s a teenager!

So now you all know why there has been a serious lack of blogging lately! My time has been a little short, but I’ve got some exciting projects coming up so things are going to get a lot more lively soon. Thanks for hanging in there with me! You all rock!
